The 6th Annual AnMicro Conference at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños (UPLB)

On 27th April 2019, the National Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (BIOTECH), and the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) will host the 6th AnMicro Conference during the International Symposium and Training Workshop on Microbial Utilization at the University of the Philippines, Los Baños (UPLB). As this year also marks the 20th Anniversary of the Mycological Society of the Philippines (MSP), the symposium will celebrate the progress and trends in fungal diversity and conservation as well as sustainable utilization of the microbial resources in ASEAN and global arenas. Apart from the symposium itself, BIOTECH, MSP, SEARCA and The National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), Thailand arrange training courses on iCollect and fungal utilization on 25th – 26th April 2019. [Update 17/05/2018] The 5th meeting of ASEAN Network on Microbial Utilization (AnMicro)

The annual meeting of ASEAN Network on Microbial Utilization (AnMicro) is organized with a motivation to provide an excellent international platform for the academic and researchers in ASEAN to SHARE their research findings. It also serves to foster communication among researchers working in a wide variety of scientific areas of microbial utilization with a common interest in improving recent innovation technology.  Along with 3rd AMBC, the 5th AnMicro meeting took place at Pullman Kuching Hotel, Sarawak, Malaysia on 25th April 2018.  On 26th April 2018, the day after the 5th AnMicro meeting, the participants from AnMicro members joined iCollect workshop, which was also held at Pullman Kuching Hotel, to build capacity on ASEAN data management of microbial resource and to facilitate access to microbial resources and information and compliance with the ABS....
