As you may already know, Asean Microbial Biotechnology Conference (AMBC) is a biennial conference sponsored by ASEAN Network on Microbial Utilization (AnMicro). So it traditionally coincides with the annual AnMicro members meeting. AMBC2018 is no exception. Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI), the host of AMBC2018, also hosted the 5th AnMicro members meeting on 25 April 2018 at Pullman Kuching Hotel, Sarawak, Malaysia.

AnMicro to take the first step into business world.

This year AnMicro members have agreed to expand its target audiences from scientists and research institutes to wider and more downstream communities, e.g., private companies and commercial sectors. AnMicro plans to allocate its resources to a brand new workgroup, called “Biobusiness”. The immediate task of this workgroup is to create an online catalog of commercially-ready products, research innovations, or any other interesting stuffs from all AnMicro members. So anyone could visit this pooled catalog and get the idea of “what” we have to offer, “where” they can get the products, and “whom” they can contact.
